The GUBA - large, extremely active

Full League Name (Initials): Global Unified Baseball Association (GUBA)

OOTP Version: OOTP9 required
Players: fictional
# of Teams: 36
Export Deadlines Days And Times: Tue, Thu, Sun 8pm Central

Well, those 2 long-standing leagues joined together as the GUBA in May 2007. This is a WRITING league. Basically, 10 news articles per season about your team will keep you in good standing. Exporting is required. NO fly by night owners please. We are a community as much as we are a baseball league, but as veterans of OOTP online we know our baseball as well. Our community also organizes to play xbox live, Diplomacy, Goal Line Blitz, Court Rivals, etc. - all of these are just bonuses.

If interested...: Register for the forum and join our crazy fun.

Boom -- just like that, the Long Beach Surfers are filled. Still need somebody to get into Taipei.

One team filled, one team open due to owner not meeting seasonal participation requirement. We are still looking for a pair of GMs who are looking to get into a long term league.

Warsaw Falcons (77-85, 5th place FIBB Euro)

After 69, 71, and 81 win seasons and looking like they were on the right track to being competitive, Warsaw faltered a bit last season and went 77-85. The Falcons have about $25M in salary coming off the books and could be a major player in free agency if desired. Like Taipei, they're a squad who could be tweaked into contention with a couple shrewd moves.

Taipei Tigers (92-70, 3rd place FIBB Far East Division)
The Tigers are a veteran powerhouse loaded with sluggers. They feature the FIBB's top offense unquestionably but a pitching staff that is loaded with issues. If you're a GM who specializes in quick turnaround tweak specials, this is the team for you.

Hey Mikey, i used to be the Moscow owner, til i resigned before the conversion. Would be interested in either franchise that is available, but wouldn't mind getting back into the FIBB Euro. Should still be signed up as usualsuspect.

Can you still access the forums, usual?

An update on our openings. They are now the above mentioned Taipei Tigers and the currently rebuilding Pago Pago Coconuts. Warsaw is no longer available.

This league is great.

I left because they were all too nice and it hurts after a while.

Go Warsaw.

The GUBA is the best OOTP league I've ever been apart of. Taipei is one of the most storied franchises so far.

Still need an owner for Taipei. Free Agency gets underway tonight, so there's plenty of time to have some impact in the offseason before the 2016 campaign.

Another team has become available in the GUBA

Manhattan Myst Home Page

2015: 85-77, 2nd place MBBA Atlantic

Manhattan was turned around fairly quickly, going from a 61 win team in 2011 to a 106 win team in 2013 and made consecutive playoff appearances. They dropped to 90 wins in 2014 and 85 last year, but still have a formidable squad. With 13M in payroll room there is some space to add free agents, and the Myst have over $30M in salary coming off the books after this season, so they are definitely a team that can be massaged into what a new GM wants them to be.

Send me a PM here if you're interested and we'll get you set up on the forums and into a team. Come join us!

Still looking for a Taipei and Manhattan owner. Please note, we had to migrate the GUBA forums -- the new link is here: Global Unified Baseball Association Forum - Index Admin Approval for registration is no longer required, so feel free to register and post an application.
