GAPBL Has Openings for 2003 Season

The Great American Pastime Baseball League has assigned all teams for the 2003 season. Thanks to everyone who expressed interest in joining. You can still sign up to be part of the waiting list.

Arizona Diamondbacks (86-76, NL West Champions)

Cleveland Indians (63-99)

Colorado Rockies (81-81)

Kansas City Royals (69-93)

Philadelphia Phillies (83-79)

San Francisco Giants (84-78)

Cleveland has been assigned, so KC's the last team left. Sure, they're a small market team that lost 93 games last year, but on the plus side:
- You're going to have a good draft pick at #5.
- With the league's revenue sharing agreement (and KC's low payroll), you can compete right away with the big market teams for free agents; the team has $20.25 million this year for signing FA's
- The team currently has three of the league's top 30 pitching prospects (#2, #16 and #27; #4, #41 and #67 overall prospects)
