NCAA League taking Apps

Let me start out by saying thanks goes to many people in these forums for the thoughts, insperations and graphics to get this league underway

I am currently finishing the graphics for an NCAA league - It is a 36 team league it is made up of teams from the College Baseball Writers top 35 poll

NCBWA > News > Division I Poll

I have broken them down into conferences and divisions... Each Division is made up of 6 teams - I have taken some liberties in the placement of a few teams as they did not have enough to fill an entire division as you can see at the bottom of the poll the breakdown

By conference: Big 12 6, Pacific-10 6, Atlantic Coast 5, Southeastern 5, Conference USA 3, Big West 2, West Coast 2, Big East 1, Big South 1, Big Ten 1, Missouri Valley 1, Mountain West 1, Western Athletic 1.

So here is how the league is broken up:

Eastern Conference -

Big East

Louisville, Rice, Witchita State, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Tulane (This is a mix and match division)

SEC

LSU, Georgia, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Florida, Michigan (only 5 SEC teams and one Big 10 on list)

ACC

North Carolina, Florida State, Miami (Hurricanes), Georgia Tech, Clemson, NC State

Western Conference

Pac 10

UCLA, USC, Stanford, Oregon State, Arizona, Arizona State

Big 12

Texas, Texas A & M, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Baylor, Missouri

WCC

UC Irvine, Pepperdine, TCU, Cal State Fullerton, San Diego, Fresno State
(another mis and match)


This league has a High School Feeder League - The "draft" or "recruiting" of the College teams will be made up of ONLY the high school teams - This means that all players will have a history that can be viewed

I have run one season to test if this works as well as get 1 year of history under the belt - The ages for HS are 14-18 and college is 18-22

So you will only have your players between 1-5 years ONLY depending on the age they get to the league - So this is a "constant player rotation" Sr.s leave freshman join

There are going to be no financials (since the whole financial system in OOTP can be difficult at best to reign in for something this specfic)

There will be a 60 game schedule - All teams except UCLA are open

When I finish getting the team graphics done (tonight) I get get the website and forum posted (tonight / tommorrow) at that time I will post further information

This league WILL happen and stuff will be up by tonight and finished by this weekend

This is an OOTP 8 league - I may (or may not) move to '09 but that is a discussion for another time
