tMBU has openings pre-season

One of the best writing leagues on the internet has openings and you can move or brand the franchises currently open to make the team your own. It's a talent only league and is very smartly run by Tom Hickman who has been around OOTP and online leagues for years.

the MoneyBall Union Home

The teams open are as follows:

North Shore Honu Home Page - moved to Hawaii by GM Dennis Kantanen, the franchise now boasts excellent talent in the bigs and a swelling prospect base. With money to spend in upcoming FA, the Honu can be moved back to the mainland if you should wish.

Saskatchewan Storm Home Page - had no takers as the season progressed last year and so a free rebranding and move is offered. Best to keep the team on the West Coast to keep the geographical alignment so a GM who wants to move to California, Oakland or Los Angeles would be best. But with a deep farm and a high draft pick this coming year, our League Rookie Draft Pool Report - Scouted by: OSA will add depth to this financially fresh franchise.

Georgia Rebels Home Page - are a team with a proud history and the previous GM took care of things well but was unable to commit fully to the team.

The tMBU has one thing going for it that others do not - we have a real life PA who acts on players' behalfs. A good argument on stats and performances, backed up by loyalty to a player will get you a good deal.

So, drop into the our forum, sign up and say hello to us all in our New Owners forum!

I took over the Las Vegas franchise halfway through last season and it's been a great experience. The seasons move along nicely and it's a great bunch of owners, very friendly.

Saskatchewan is taken and is in the process of moving to LA (overnight!)

North Shore and Georgia are still available.

It's important to note we're at the arbitration hearings this year and are just about to go into the Rule 5 Draft. North Shore and Georgia need a GM ASAP to shape their futures.

Both can be moved to a new location for their new GM!

Please see our standard of writing on the Los Angeles Storm homepage. This was written by our commish and as you can see, we still have a couple of franchises available. A nibble on North Shore has not (yet at least Blue Crew!) been followed up, so come and look over prospective teams and move or rebrand them as you wish.

This is an ideal time to come on board as we have just hit arbitration and will be heading to the Ammy draft on Wednesday. Boy is there some talent out there this year!

Blue Crew took up the challenge that will be Georgia. The final franchise available is in sunny Hawaii! The Honu have a lot of young talent and with a little guidance from a dedicated GM will have the Denver Gold folks a little nervous!

You're all in luck!

Indianapolis has opened up and have a SUPERB set of players. Bowers and Malott are a super #1 and #2 in the rotation and there are a goodly range of salaried and prospect talent.

Have a looksee and drop us a line!

The SAP program will be re-introduced in 2053 (in one season's time).

The "Scout-a-Prospect" project is open to all GMs and everyone will be create and write a little bio on their hero - or you don’t get one. You will specify all intangibles:

Name
Nickname
Number
Bday (excl year)
Born in
Height
Weight
Position

Everything else will be randomly generated by the OOTP Player Creator. However, your talent levels will be generated via a randomizer program that gives slight bonuses based on your record and better bonuses if you have purchased the Scouting Reward.

The scouting reward is 25PPs and PPs are obtained by writing news, features and contributing to the league in some way (PP tallying, HoF writeups or plaques, etc.)

It also gives active teams with Points to spend a better chance at a better prospect but still adds randomness to the equation. This is a superb bit of fun which can be used to create a link with your team.

Indy, Georgia (sadly) and North Shore are open.

The draft is right around the corner and there is some great talent out there.

Oh yes and we're using scouts now! Budget set to 5% of the salary cap of $90 mill.

North Honu

Hi Savannah,

I'll take North Honu if it is still open. My league of 13 years is in hiatus/folded for 8 months. Not sure if it is coming back. I'm looking for a new league to join. I prefer brand new- but your league interests me.

Rich

Hello all,

The newly formed franchise, Los Angeles Storm, has become available as the GM found it hard to cope with, well frankly, I have no idea.

Still, the team is available and you can check out the team by clicking on the Saskatchewan link, above!

I have been in this league for about 6 years now over almost 30 seasons. It is one of the best, most consistent leagues out there. If you love OOTP and really want to sink your teeth into something special, come join us.

Sorry for the late update, but we're now full.

We've hit June and things are hotting up in the tMBU.

Come over and have a look, maybe sign up and see what we're about before joining our waiting list.
