OOTP5 1901 League: Free Agent Rules

Hi fellow OOTP fanatics. I currently run two leagues that have been around for quite a long time (6 years for one of them) and I'm about to start a 1901 league using OOTP5. This league will not use financials because the salaries aren't realistic for the times. The reason I'm posting here is to find out what historical leagues out there don't use financials but have some form of free agency. I'm looking to find out a good free agency system that will fit in with a deadball era league while also allowing enough player movement to keep things interesting.

If you run an historical league that has implemented some form of free agency in place of financials, please let me know where I can find your free agency rules so I can review them. I know there are some great historical leagues out there and I appreciate your assistance in advance. I hope to make this league (called Legends of the Game) a long term, solid league like the other leagues I run and others out there. Thanks!

The only two Historical leagues that I know of that don't use financials are the MLB Century which has no free agency and the Boys of Summer which protects 25 players after each season and then has a 2 round free agent draft in reverse order of finish.
