Cant Import games

I just changed my league over to OOTP5 and now my owners have sent me their game files. When I try to import them the game crashes and I have to unzip my league again. I have tried to import individual games and have also tried the import all button.

I am copying the .exp files into the Expimp folder just as I used to do in OOTP4. The first time I tried the import I also copied the box & logs into the league_news_box folder. I tried the second time without putting the box & logs in.

Can anyone help me on this?

import

When you say “import individual games,” do you mean “individual team files?” If you load these team files one by one, you should be able to find the problem file, if that is the cause of your crashes. If it just crashes every time, no matter what combination of team files you use, either all the team files are bad or your program is bad.

If your program runs fine without those particular league files, then the problem is in one of the team files or your league didn’t convert correctly. Are you sure all of the team files are coming from version 5 of the game? Throwing one from 4 in there would probably muck things up.

files

Do you mean that you turned the default league into a fake online league and tried to import its team files and it wouldn’t work? Something is wrong with your importing process then. Have you tried setting up your league both ways, that is FTP and having the owners just email their files to you? Maybe the program that is executing the FTP isn’t working.
