WSBL Needs YOU!
The WSBL is looking for good active Gm's to take place in there first season. The league is using 2003 rosters, with full minor league systems... it is a draft league. If you dont have an ID.. dont worry! We just need good active GM's who will stay active and trade throughout the year. If interested post a message, or email me at njtusso@yahoo.com

Attention potential owners!
The integrity/honesty of this league's leadership has come into serious question. While I have no firsthand knowledge of past events, many well-respected members of the community do. Certainly, you should feel free to join any league you wish, but be extremely wary about giving out your order ID - in the hands of someone you don't trust, it can be used for nefarious purposes. Tusso, the potential commissioner who has posted here, is a friend (or possibly an alias) of an individual who sometimes goes by "jblaze03fuel" and sometimes by "AnD1 BBaller." He has been accused of dishonesty in former leagues he has commished, and most of the owners in those former leagues will have nothing to do with him. Here are the links to the past threads these individuals have started to try to generate interest in this league: Link 1 Link 2 Link 3 Link 4 Link 5 I think that's all of them. If I've missed any, perhaps someone else here on the board can add those as well. Good luck to all in finding an interesting, enjoyable, fair online league.

Since this is Jblaze's\ballers league, I again will post this from Scott:
This post was made by an administrator of this board and needs to be reposted here. Hope this is ok to post again Scott. Scott Vibert Administrator Registered: Dec 2001 Location: My Computer Posts: 6733 quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Originally posted by Dwolfson20 Responding to the person who asked about the IP logs: yes, the moderators can see them, but no, they probably won't "officially" tell us anything about what they find. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes I can see the IP Logs, I can even see a handy list of every IP and server you've ever used on the board (a good way to cross reference aliases ). You are also correct that our policy is to avoid being the board policy and to publicly "out" aliases barring extenuating circumstances. There are lots of people in this forum that have more than one alias, it wouldn't be fair to reveal one, without revealing the others and quite frankly I don't have the time to double check and cross reference everyone of our 4750 or so members to come up with a partially complete list of aliases (or suspected aliases). If there is something that warrants "outing" an alias publicly it will be done, but only under extenuating circumstances. In this case the thread's starter is not technically doing anything wrong... he's trying to start a league. But the other contributors are not doing anything wrong in pointing out inconsistences in his story, and/or similarities to other members that may have a bit of a checkered past. That said, should this thread go too far off topic it will be moved or closed (like other threads in this forum). For all prospective owners you need to be VERY cautious when turning over your Order IDs, if you have reason not to trust the commish then you should hold onto your ID until he builds that trust. In fact if you can not trust the commish, then you really should not join the league. Commishes who've caused problems in the past may not even get approved to join the OOTP server. For all prospective commishes. If you really have no online league experience then I would STRONGLY advise you to actually participate in a league as an owner before trying to commish your first league. You are much more likely to be successful after you have some experience and an understanding of how online leagues function, and what does and does not work in keeping a league together.

Amazing...some people never learn. But reading back over the threads, the "converstaions" between Jblaze and And1 are even more funny and entertaining.
Anyway, with the release of version 5, and the sudden influx of shady and questionable leagues, I think maybe we should take Scott's post and sticky it in forum for awhile. Just until things die down a little. |

I don't think Tusso understands that he isn't welcome here anymore without any type of argument.
Tusso, I think in your case, I don't think it's worth making another post on this message board again. You have been proven that your dishonesty will not work in the WSBL, or on this message board. You have proven that, we simply can't trust you. I hope, I really do that Andreres doesnt accept your league into the server.

Get the hint, dude...............you most likely won't be allowed to fill 'your' league here as there are a mass of people who have exposed you and yours as cheaters and we won't let you put a black eye on this game and its online leagues. Besides that, you posted several days ago that the league was full................well, is it or isnt it? What happened? Did JBlaze give up a few of his teams?

I would like to join your league, it sounds really good. May I have the braves? I'll be a good owner because I've been playing text baseball for 17 years. I can't wait to start playing!

The truly sad thing here is that if he truly wanted to make a new start and redeem his reputation, he could easily make a new alias that didn't instantly call attention to itself, join a newbie league, and make a reputation for honesty and upright play. If this happened, his reputation would probably be strong enough to overcome even the revelation that he was actually the dreaded "jblaze."
However, this is obviously just a cry for more attention. I think he's actually looking for troll posts... otherwise, why create an obvious jblaze alias and start posting on this dead thread? Well, jblaze, you're in luck - I think there will always be those on the board who will be happy to give you all the negative validation your heart desires. Just keep on posting, and this alias will generate the mocking and derision you're so clearly seeking.

First of all, it's "than," not "then." Second of all, "Perhaps if you had more to do THAN spend every waking minute browsing boards about fake baseball and worrying about who is starting what league" is a dependent clause. Something has to follow the comma. I'll give you an example of how this works: Perhaps if JBlaze didn't try to cheat in online leagues and post under many different aliases, the other members would leave him alone. Notice the completeness of the sentence. Well, I have to go - I have to go to an editors' meeting at my law school, and then go have lunch with my girlfriend - sorry I can't spend any more time correcting your grammar. However, since you seem so concerned for the quality of my life, I'm sure you'll be glad to hear this news.

You guys are a bunch of big bullies! Perhaps if you had more to do than spend every waking minute browsing boards about fake baseball and worrying about who is starting what league, you wouldn't be such a$$ holes. You're pathetic, get a life. Is that better? I must have hit a nerve with you Eckstein, since you had to throw in information about your meeting and girlfriend. It's ok that you don't have a life, I still like you.

By the way Eckstein 4 Prez - I detect the kind of glaring logical inconsistencies in your 'reasoning' that only botched frontal lobotomy patients with crisscrossed shoelace scars on their sloped foreheads are capable of making. If I want the advice of a retard, I'll slap you on the back of the head and wake up that little peg legged hamster that operates the drool-powered waterwheel of thought in there. Until then, sit in the corner and wait until I either speak to you or spit at you.
