OOBL looking for 6 new owners
The OOBL http://www.oobl.ootp-leagues.com is looking for owners for 6 teams! There was a slow exodus because we kept with OOTP4 through the season which is about to finish, but are switching to OOTP5 for the coming season. We need new owners to take over teams before we head into the offseason. Get in touch with me at either ev1l@freeshell.org (that's a number one followed by a letter el in ev1l) or misra@uiuc.edu or on AIM d0ugm3lv1n (watch the numbers!) if you're interested and have OOTP5.
The available teams are: San Francisco Giants Tampa Bay Devil Rays Chicago Cubs Philadelphia Phillies Just FYI- we started with the 2002 postseason roster set for OOTP4 (a modification of the GeForce rosters) and are now approaching the 2005 season. If I had to pick a single word to describe the OOBL it would be diverse. There are some owners who're cutt-throat competitive, others who're very easy going, some who're intensely involved, others who're really only interested in keeping their team competitive, some that are loud and bragadocious, others who're quite respectful when they beat you. What I'm getting at is that there's space for all kinds of personalities and modes of operation in OOBL, as long as you're fairly serious about trying to manage your team competently, and you want to stick around for awhile. OOBL is like a community, and what we're really looking for is fun people who also know a lot about baseball and ootp5. This league might not be for you if you're interested in an extremely competitive league, or one where all 32 owners are closely involved writing articles all the time. edit: updated to reflect new owners edit: updated again to reflect current owners- and thanks for the endorsement royals

LOL- I can understand the misunderstanding. I'm toying around with this real life team to gain an edge in my online leagues

Currently, I'm the Royals owner (with a minor stint with the Cubs) and have been for the last 2.5 seasons. We have a great bunch of owners that have fun (http://www.ootp-leagues.com/mbs/oobl...d.php?tid=1973 for example) and are active, and we even hold live sims. So, if you're looking for a good fun league with great owners, OOBL is the place for you. OOBL puts the fun back into baseball.
