New Historical League
The year is 1996 and the Cleveland Indians are the best organization in baseball. On the major League Level, they have Jim Thome, Albert Belle, Manny Ramirez, and Kenny Lofton but are even more stocked in the Minors. There Number One ranked system includes Brain Giles (4th), Bartolo Colon (6th), Jaret Wright (17th), Richie Sexson (27th), and Sean Casey (46th). The Montreal Expos aren’t fair behind with a One-Two Punch Pedro and Jeff Fassero plus decent players in Cliff Floyd and Alou. The number two ranked systems boasts Vlad Guerreo (8th), Starting Pitcher Ugueth Urbina (14th), and Javier Vazquez (32nd).
A young 18-year-old Bluejays pitcher called Roy Halladay is ranked as the number one prospect, while Todd Helton is the top positional player. It’s the beginning of Joe Torre’s second tour of duty in New York, this time with the Yankees. Derek Jeter will be making his debut and A-Rod will have his breakout season. Randy Johnson is still with the Mariners, Mike Mussina the Orioles, Pedro Martinez the Expos, Roger Clemens the Redsox, and John Smoltz is anchoring Atlanta’s rotation. David Cone is still on the top of his game with the Yankees, Hideo Nomo with the Dodgers, and Pat Hentgen with the Bluejays. Frank Thomas, Ken Griffey, Barry Bonds, Mike Piazza (still with the Dodgers), Mark Mcgwire (still with the A’s), and Barry Larkin are the top offensive players. The Yankees, Orioles, Indians, Rangers, Braves, Cardinals, Padres, and Dodgers made the playoffs. It may have only been seven years ago but things where very different. I’ve run a Baseball Mogul league before but this will be my first experience as Commionsher for an OOTP league. My league ran from early December 2002 until the middle of September 2003. It was much harder than running an OOTP league, since I had to do almost everything by hand. It folded for a wide varity of reasons but mostly because of the difficulty of recruiting quality GM’s since everyone plays OOTP now. I’m a proud member of SMLB (Marlins), HCBL (Orioles), and UBL (Senators) more information about those leagues can be found below. Right now, I’m looking for 11 people with User ID’s which can be used towards getting a free website from OOTP. If such people can’t be found within a week or so of today, I’ll pay for a server elsewhere. I’d also love to hear from anyone interested in joining the league. Currently, the Orioles, Mets, Braves, Bluejays, and Pirates are taken. There is no fee, your do not have to own the game nor have AIM. However, AIM would be strongly recommended, your experience will be more enjoyable if you own the game, and donations will always be welcome. ![]() Please e-mail me at remangiii@aol.com or AIM me at remangiii.

The biggest drawback to geocities is that it will only let something be viewed an undisclosed but limited number of times in an hour.
One reason why I dont use Geocities anymore.

I'm pleased to annouce that I've merged with beatnikpoet13 (on aim). We should have a website up within a few days. Currently, the Royals, Brewers. Twins, Angels, Rangers, Philies, Cubs, Reds, Astros, Pirates, Card's, Rockies, Dodgers, Padres, Giants are open. We do have six GM's who will likely join the league but havent choosen a league yet.

Sounds great. I have the loaded Expos. I'm going to try to keep everyone and see how baseball would be today with all those guys like Pedro on the team.
