Expansion Owner wanted for alternate history league
The United League, an eight-team alternate history league that started with a draft of historical players in 1951, is adding two teams for its 1955 season. We are in our fourth season and have had a very successful run, with a high level of involvement and very low turnover, so this is a great opportunity to get in on a small, well-run, competitive league using historical players.
There is no free agency. Instead we use a modified reserve clause that allows teams to renew half of their expiring contracts, and all unsigned players go into a reentry draft. We will have an expansion draft. Each team is protecting 15 players, and everyone else is fair game. The expansion draft will start around Mon. Nov. 11, and we'd like to have an owner in place at least a week before then. This is a small league, so active owners are a must, especially for expansion teams. If you are interested, email the link below. Please include your name, your OOTP experience, your interest in baseball history, including favorite players and teams, etc. United League home page Apply for team Timothy J. For those who enjoy historical leagues this is one of the best in leagues, commish and owners. With some unique rules to keep things interesting so sign up today.
Besides even the 2 expansion teams are probably gonna be better than Louisville

Well, Mark has chosen to take on the challenge of managing a small market team. Louisville has had a string of bad luck (and maybe, just maybe, one or two bad decisions).
They lost Richie Ashburn to military service in 1952, their "franchise" pitcher has made more millions than he has won games, and the team always draws the smallest gate. But he also has Hank Aaron and Al Kaline on the verge of making their big league debuts, so hope springs eternal... Right Mark?
