AOBL Rangers open
The Texas Rangers need ownership in the AOBL. The former owner had to drop out due to time constraints. The team just finished a playoff campaign, when they made it to the ALCS. This is a high calibur team with many weapons.
We are currently in the middle of the FA period with the 2006 season coming up, which is to be our 4th season. We are a very detailed league, meaning most of our rules follow MLB guidlines, with such things as waivers, restricted free agents, and post deadline waiver trading, just to name a few.. We do have an $80 million salary cap implimented, which the Rangers currently sit with about an $85million payroll, meaning new ownership would have to jump right in and deal to get the team under the cap. This is a good opportunity to hop on a winning team, in a fun, and very active league. Please read and understand the rules thoroughly before applying... The main link for our website is located in my signature... You can view our league rules by clicking here.... AOBL Rules .... If you wish to apply for ownership please, please fillout the form located here, and be sure to place OOTPForumTexRan in the text field... AOBL Ownership Application Please note that ownership of the game, and possesion of AIM are both mandatory in this league. If you do not posess both, please dont apply. You will be contacted shortly afterwards regarding your application. If you have any questions, please visit our website, go to the League Headquarters link in the top left, then click on "contact AOBL Front Office", and someone will get back to you shortly.

I've never heard of a restricted free agent in MLB.

Jason Giambi was a restrcited FA in OAK... Oakland offered him an extension, and he didnt accept... once a RFA signs with another team, that team has to give the original team a compensation pick... Meaning the A's got a draft pick after all 1st round teams completed their picks

Thats not a restricted free agent in the form of a Kerry Wood-like situation. Thats just compensation.

Kerry Wood refused to sign with Chicago, in the same way the A's had the option to match the Yankees offer for Giambi and declined....

I was just giving Paul a little bit of a hard time.
It's great league, amazed that the team hasn't been taken yet. I had to take the Padres to get in
