New GM looking for Historical leagues
I recently started playing online in the Glory Days (GDBA) league.
I find that it's not all that time consuming so I'd like to find another league or two to fill in the days between sims. I've had the OOTP game (v 4 and now 5) for a couple of years, so I know how it works. I love baseball history (those dynasty threads are great) and would like to play in leagues from various eras. The GDBA is in 1946 so that's covered. I'm on a waiting list for a deadball era league. I'd like to find an active league set in the 20's, or in the 60's - 70's. In any league after 1960 I'd prefer to have the Mets. Ideally in a league new enough that I have a good number of their actual players. I'm not really into a league with fake players. Though new to online playing I can bring a bit to your league. I'm competitve and will strive to build a winning franchise. I can help with articles for websites, if that's part of the league. I like negotiating trades (real people are a much better challenge than the AI). I'll keep reading this board looking for a league that suits me. If I miss you and you think I'd fit your league, let me know here or e-mail: metfan13@hotmail.com Tom |

I don't know if the UBL is currently full or not, but you can ask. The website is at: www.theubl.net It started in 1927 and is currently nearing the end of the 1931 season. I also believe we're expanding soon, perhaps this off-season, so you might want to get on a list. Our commish is EagleEye_0 on these boards and Hilldale in the UBL. I'm Detroit.

Shiba has occasionally vacancies, and is entering the timeframe you desire. The best thing about Shiba is the fact that rookies are drafted 3 years before their real life major league debut, so there are lots of cool teenagers in the minors developing.
