I don't think you did anything wrong by asking him about. But, I do think that checking IP Addys is a little werid.

Nothing weird about checking IP addresses. It can catch cheaters, so why not check IP addresses? Anyways, UD, to give you some info...Internet service providers buy blocks of IP addresses, and usually assign them to users based on location. Most broadband users have static IP addresses assigned to the MAC address of their modem (be it xDSL or cable), but dial-up users (most of the time) are given a new IP lease wtih every login. So, if users have the same IP address, it could mean they're the same person, they live near each other and subscribe to the same dial-up ISP, or they've been lured back in time to 1993 and are still using AOL.

Edit -- Oh, and Angel's a freakin' jerk. Just kidding, Angel.

With mfritterer1 trying to join the league, and just finding out his reputation...I had to get on the admin panel and check. I was HOPING that I would find everything clean. Which now turns out, it's clean.

I'm tryint to make my league a clean and safe environment. Early blows to the league wouldn't help.

I guess I just gotta be more careful!

Thanks for the support

A lot of it depends on the internet service provider. Most ISPs have set numbers (like the first 3 in the group) and then rotate the last numbers based on the login time (if using modem.) So two guys in Cincinnati both using the same ISP can have numbers that are almost identical and in theory could match up at some points.

And AOL screws everything up now and then.
