Base-Ball Union Tells Champs;Readies for Expansion!

Congratulations to Andy Ubert and his Boston Resolutes on winning their second straight Union Series with a 5 games to 1 victory over Bob Monroe's Pittsburgh Esquires in The Base-Ball Union !

We are entering the 1909 ammy draft and ready for expansion after the 1909 campaign!

If you'd like to have one of our expansion teams, please feel free to email me to express your interest.

I'd like to have the owners in place early in the season so they can follow the players/teams this season to better know the league when expansion begins.

Check us out, we have real players (some negroes added in the year they debuted) with fictional teams!

expansion team

While I am new to Online play (total rookie)I have been playing solo for a couple of years; I run only historical sims and have usually added Negro league players based upon Bill James Historical Abstract. If you are willing to be patient with me I would love to create my own expansion team

Cut me an email (link in original post) with some bio information. We are in the ammy draft for 1909 presently. Expansion is set for 1910 and Louisville and Cleveland have been selected by our owners as the two expansion cities.

Two expansion ownership packets have been received from each city (fictional aspect of the league).

Louisville be known as the Merchants or the Triplets.
Cleveland will be known as the Imperials or the Finnegans.
(nicknames are tentative at this time)

We'll be selecting expansion owners in the next couple of weeks from the emails I receive.

Thanks for your (and others') interest in the Union!
