Rare Opening in the Laseron Baseball Association

For the first time in 3+ seasons we have an opening in the LBA. The LBA is a 16 team fictional league set in the fictitious world of Laseron. We are currently approaching the end of our 10th season and the Crystalis Robins have become available.

Crystalis is third in Minos division with a record of 64-76. They are a veteran team in need of some help, but they do have 4 or 5 pretty decent prospects making their way through the minors.

We have a good creative group of veteran owners in the LBA, but newbies are always welcome. If you have a good imagination and like to write the odd article, this is the league for you. We use Cato for keeping track of our history. The owners vote for our own HOF awards. (We had our first two players inducted just recently)

We are using v5 until the end of this season, which should be done in about 2 weeks, then we are switching to v6. We sim three times a week: Mon - 7 days, Tue - 7 days, Sat 14 days.

If you have an interested in joining, please read over the rules (which will be changing a little when we witch to v6) and let me know. One thing I should mention is that we are thinking of expanding soon, so the playoffs in the future could include an extra round. This is not set in stone yet though.

EDIT: Most of the league owners are on YIM, so it does help if you have it or could get it.

Thanks
Sean Torgerson

Plus, Crystalis has the most original uniforms in the LBA. They're my favorites.

Check 'em out. Then check out the league. It has a great story behind it and you can be a part of the next chapter.

And if you don't like the unis you can always get them changed.

My how times flies. Louie, you've been running Summerwind for 3+ seasons already? How's the rebuilding job going?

I'd join the league, but it would be just too damn confusing. Would constantly have to remind myself which team I GM.

Its been rough on him. Summerwind had some big setbacks with injuries and resignings that were just plain bad luck since he took over. But Louie's team is probably the most followed and interesting teams in the league. With an owner like that the team could have 25 single A players and still be fun to watch.

Hey those are sweet uniforms Max, and when did we start using 3D models for the uniforms? Very cool...

Hey darkhorse, it wouldn't be confusion. In Laseron, i'm Max Winterbourne and Tommy Baskerville and Omega Jemm... oh i guess it might get confusing.
Anyways, keep an eye on the league, there might be room for you soon.

Thanx Jimbo.

These are the new ones. i'm doing it as a sort of a celebration for our upcoming 10th season. Everybody's getting them. i'm about half way done. When i get all of them done, i'll see about putting them on the website, to replace the old 2D ones we have.

After that i'll work on a way to get some action models. That way we post screenshots of important games. When a player hits a game winning home run or when a pitcher strikes out the side to end the game. But it looks like that will take a while. It may be a year or two before i can get those done.

It's just one sim short of four seasons, and the Seagulls continue to be one step forward, 43 steps back
If I can hang in there long enough, we might make it to .500.

In any event, I love the Gulls. Sometimes failure is more interesting than success.

Kind words indeed; thanks. Sometimes I think we do have 25 single A players.

So have we got this position filled yet? I have found this league to be very absorbing, with a great premise and really fine group of GMs (most of them much better than I am). And the bonus for the Crystalis GM is that you get the chance to kick my team from pillar to post all year.

Position is filled, but we are thinking of expanding at the end of next season so keep your eyes open if you are interested in joining the league as an expansion owner.

Just when I thought the LBA couldn't get any better...

Unfortunatley, one of our original owners has decided not to get OOTP6, so we have an opening for Firun City.

Firun City has an abundance of young talent in a division that could be wide open.
We are in the offseason, with the first round of FA on Thursday - so now is the perfect time to join.
