Looking For A Change of Pace?

There are plenty of good leagues out there that sim 2, 3, or more years worth of seasons per calendar year, but not many at all that stick to the pace of a game per day like real life baseball.

Looking for a league that has a pace closer to real life? If not, no need to keep reading...

If you're interested in more granular control of your team and a more realistic feel to penant races, a league like this might be for you.

One such league is the MBLS, which has been going strong since 1993 (i.e. before OOTP was a twinkle in Markus' eye) and has been an OOTP league since 2002 (OOTP4).

The league has a great commish (Joe Cesarano) and a strong core group of owners who are in it for the long haul.

There are currently two open teams in the league - Phoenix and Bronx.

If the league is of interest to you, check out this previous thread in the forums with some details about how to apply...

MBLS has two openings

Semi-bump...

Is the idea of a slower-paced league not appealing to many OOTP-ers?

I've tried a couple of fast-paced (i.e. normal) leagues and it seems you just miss out on a lot of the depth and realism of the excitement of the season...

I've actually considered a league like this, and I think it would be enjoyable, but I like actual player leagues better than fictional, and I'd probably want a league starting from scratch.

Well, the MBLS is an "actual player" league, though it is most definitely not starting from scratch. It's been around since 1993, so it's a stable league with a strong core group of owners. Check it out if you're interested...
