OOTP Convention League

I know many of you followed the activities of the OOTP Convention that was held in Toledo, OH in June of this year right here on the OOTP boards. Well, during the convention, those in attendance agreed to start a new league consisting of owners who attended the convention. This is to announce that the OOTP Convention League, after a long initial draft, is underway. If you are interested in checking it out, you can follow the league at http://www.christianbaseball.com/OCL2004.

The plan is to expand after the OOTP Convention in 2005. The league currently has 16 teams and is a fictional, historical league.

I hope many of you will be able to attend the convention next summer. It was great to meet many of those who participate on these forums and have been involved in the hobby for a long time. It is an honor for me to be the commissioner of the league and I look forward to serving the league. Hopefully we can get a much larger turn out for next year's convention and have to start another league or two for just attendees of the convention.

It's nice to be in a league where you've actually met nearly everyone face-to-face. I would also add that my team has the best ERA that I've ever had a team have in my OOTP history. Of course, it is only 7 games into the season.

If only I'm there in the US.. I think I would do something to attend the convention but I'm here in the Philippines. I don't have money to go there.

Hey Sporr...remember that the Devil Rays once had the best ERA they've ever had for a week as well.
