The ABA has 1 opening. The Washington Nationals are in need of a good leader. They are a historically bad team that has stockpiled some serious young talent and look poised to make a run at the Heinsohn Leage crown in 1998 (The 12th season of the ABA!)
The owners list is a who's who of the OOTP Community and the competition is always tough. The ABA is a fictional league that started in 1986 with 24 teams. Many of the original owners are still involved but the league continues to evolve. Two seasons ago, the ABA signed an exclusive agreement with Fidel Castro to allow 3 Cuban players entry into the ABA while last season saw the introduction of the ABA Development Center. The ABA-DC is comparable to the Arizona Fall League of the MLB. Speaking of the MLB, the ABA Champion Las Vegas Silver Streaks, just defeated the MLB World Series Champion Florida Marlins in an 8 game 'grudge series' and the ABA All-Star team just crushed the 1997 MLB All-Star team in the second of the 'grudge series'. This too was recently my team. It goes without saying that ABA is a first class league but I will point out that openings are usually taken care of without using the OOTP message board. I miss this league already.
