La Liga Mexicana has openings

The LLM is an OOTP6 league based in Mexico. We currently have 16 teams using a 2-league, 4-division format with 2 rounds of the playoffs. We plan to expand soon by 4 teams and if that goes well, we will eventually expand by 4 more in the future, with our goal to have 3 divisions in each league and a wildcard to get into the playoffs.

The league has been around for 7 seasons (about 2 years real time) with some great owners. We have some fun programs, like purchasing players from our sister Euro League, hiring and firing managers, the occasional opportunity to create a player and talent upgrades for winning a level in the minor league standings.

Here are our currently available teams (edited):

Yucatan Leones... One of the best farm systems going. They have been ranked #1 for 3 straight seasons despite some of their young studs being in the major leagues and no longer qualifying for the list. This team has a lot of potential & simply needs some TLC.

Reynosa Broncos... For those of you looking for a chance to be immediately successful in the LLM this is it. It is rare that a winning club comes open in this league, but a great owner was forced to leave for work/personal reasons. The Broncos finished 1 game off the division lead this past season, and they have finished 1st or 2nd in the Zona Norte in 4 of the past 5 seasons.

To join, you can email me at darnoff@hotmail.com

In ootp 6, we currently use the following features:

1-100 ratings
cash max $50 mill and a media blitz program where teams earn $ for writing press releases
40-man roster on
waivers disabled in-game, but we use our own system on the boards
minor league options on
rule 5 draft on
minor league free agents on
currently 5 rounds for the ammy draft, but that may drop to 4 after expansion

Sounds like a very solid league. I'd be interested but I'm at my max for leagues so I'll just give the thread a bump instead.

3 sims left in the regular season, so nows the time to get in & prep your team for the offseason - signing extensions, protecting potential minor league free agents, etc.

Veracruz & Campeche are still open.

That hire/fire managers thing is an extremely cool idea. Too little time to join up, but it looks like a great league.

3 sims left in the season, which means the offseason should begin in about 2 weeks.

Campeche is still open.

Actually, we're pretty multicultural with players imported from Europe every offseason, plus a handful of Americans to go along with Hispanic players from all over Central & South America and the caribbean... Plus the occaisional player from Asia (which will change in another season when we start scouting Japan instead of Europe for 3 years).

Anyway, Campeche is still open... The regular season just finished with 2 divisions going down to the final day... Playoffs will be completed this week and free agency will be completed next week, so get in now if you want to be involved in shaping the Piratas in the offseason... And Opening Day 2012 should be in 2 weeks.

The Tabasco Olmecas are now open. Free agency begins on Monday, so if you want to participate in the offseason, contact me ASAP.

This is an exceptionally well run league. We have many long term owners who are very active. I could run on at the mouth and pile superlatives on the league, owners and commisioner but that would bore you. Simply stated this is a great league and you'll be thankful you joined.

The Yucatan Leones are now available... The owner, who just signed up a week ago, dropped out unexpectedly.

Free agency starts Monday.

Tabasco, btw, was just filled tonight, so Yucatan is the only opening.

Matt is a great commish and a bunch of good owners. It is with great sadness that I had to leave. Good luck to everyone.
