All Century League has 2 openings
The famous (or infamous) All Century League, started once upon a time by CommishJoe, and ruled for many seasons by the iron fist of Martin King, has two openings. As we head into our 16th season, we find ourselves in need of owners for the Montreal Expos and the Seattle Mariners.
The ACL is an all-star league comprised of the top players of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Matchups like Mathewson-versus-Bonds, Clemens-versus-Mays, and Conehead-versus-IvanTheTerrible are as commonplace as your common morning constitutional. Our homepage is here: http://www.vacant.cc/acl/ League rules are here: http://vacant.cc/acl/modules.php?nam.../acl_rules.htm On the serious side, this is a very well-run league. Sims are a week at a time, three times per real week, and always on time! The playoffs are run in the league chat room, and are often highly entertaining. The commissioner is responsible, fair, and engaging, although we do need to be on our toes when he unleashes his razor-sharp wit. The Mariners are currently a mid-level ball club needing some good management to overcome their AL Western Divison rivals, the talent-laden Angels, who are the 1916 and 1917 World Champions. The Expos are in need of an owner who likes a tough challenge. They haven't been to the playoffs in a number of years and currently languish with the Mets near the bottom of the National League. If you're looking for an online league that's a little different; if you like a wee bit of humor with your baseball; if you have little self-respect and even less for your fellow owners, then this league is for you! If you are interested in spitting with the best, please contact me at: uvl*REMOVE*@olympus*REMOVE*.net or post your vitals at the ACL message board: http://www.vacant.cc/acl/forum/ (Don't let the absence of messages scare you off; the commish just cleaned out 12 years worth of back messages prior to leaving for vacation.) This is a great league. And I'm not just saying this because I have won 3 championships
![]() It's fun, runs like clock-work and you never know what twisted article Mister King will whip up. He and his crazy cast of characters.... Bud Selig, Aunt Bea, Floyd the Barber, the Olsen Twins, Bob Goulet & Doris Day may make you laugh or just say "sick". It's all on the front page: http://vacant.cc/acl/ -Manny |

Actually, our beloved commish is somewhere in China... on vacation or something like that. I'm sure he will respond as soon as he is able to. In the meantime I can probably step in and help you out. Let me know which team you are interested in, etc, etc, etc. Thanks, Manny ACL-White Sox alvaman@yahoo.com |
