You should add PBL to that list but it always has one or two openings but not because the league is subpar.

I am one of those people that apply for a league, and really don't advertise I am looking. I tend to look for leagues that have stability, long term, certain members, or fictional, historical slants.

I play in one each of historical, fictional, and real/fictional since after 3 yrs or so it is all fictional anyway.

I only apply to maybe 5% of the ones available due to time constraints, I feel others should have a shot at playing the great leagues first. Besides the ones I am in are pretty sharp now anyway.

I usually only submit an application if the league fits my schedule, and doesn't slam another league I am in so the Commishes I am an owner gets a GM that isn't an absentee owner.

I have a short list of 3 that I would love to be in, and those Commishes know of my interest. If it happens great, if it doesn't, then I stay on the waiting list at the bottom until my turn comes around again.

Come to think of it, I need to fill an position.. I have a slot free now. Maybe I will start applying again.

So'49 is the only league that I haven't been kicked out of, and I will have all those who wish to be a part of that league know that I am the league critic. It amazes me that I am still in the league, because I have a long list of complaints:

1. The commissioner is a malacious censor that dabbles in the occult.
2. The owner of the Detroit Tigers is an evil scam artist, and I refuse to trade with him.
3. The owner of the Minnesota Giants is almost as bad, but I might make trade with him, if only to thwart the owner of the Houston Colt .45's.
4. The owner of the Houston Colt .45's caused the greatest insult to the Cincinnati Reds organization in So'49 history, and for that, he can never be forgiven.
5. The owner of the Los Angeles Angels is a pinko-commie hack, but other than that he's harmless.

If you can overlook these persons, the league is quite enjoyable. The most enjoyable, and coolest person in that league being the owner of the Chicago White Sox.

I'd like to thank you for the praise. To be the greatest villian in the Summer of '49 is hardwork. It's not everyone who would take the time to question why the Reds were getting Joe Nuxhaul in 1953.

I don't know... I heard that guy's been pouting like a little baby ever since his draft lottery idea got shot down.

I always though that down the line, I might see if the USBA has anything open- even if the comish is a pathetic 7th innning leaving Dodger's fan. But I just dont seem to have the time to deal with 2 leagues these days- the chet league keeps in business long enough/

Plus he refuses to respond to the Angels smack talk, clearly because he realizes how inferior his team is.

Well, of course. That's just one of the many that I was referring to.

Ha! Thanks for the mention. You might be the only Giants fan I would ever let into the USBA because I know you are a closet Dodgers fan deep down. I know all about your Alex Cora replica jersey, your 1988 World Champion desktop wallpaper, and your Don Newcombe bobblehead collection.

So this would not be a good time to mention that the baseball cap I had to order special to fit my freak head (7 7/8) a while ago is a Giants cap?

The Alex Cora jersey was low... real low. That hurts.

I wouldn't say "all the time", but you can't miss on FOBL Donkey Thong night, where we all gather in thong underwear and race donkeys over a 12 furlong classic steeplechase course. Good times!!

on the serious tip, the USBA was one of the first leagues I applied for, but didn't want to wait around on a waiting list, cause I was anxious to get goin in a league right away. i shoulda just got on the list and got in back then before legend got to know me, because now i'll never get a chance!

That's funny, Mike.

I think you've been in and out of just about every league I've ever been in I don't think you were kicked out of any of them, though.

I think you're just particular.
