WBL resets waiting list, looking for new applicants.

A rare post indeed. The Western Baseball League has cleared its waiting list due to some having been on the list too long, some people not fitting the right criteria etc. So for those who were waiting for an opportunity, this may be it.

http://ai-sports.com/WBL/

This came about since there is 1 team open at the moment and no one on the current waiting list was suitable for the spot. The league is a very fast moving league with a $80mil salary cap. There are also a few interesting features to the league but you can find out more by contacting the commish on AIM: tieio

As for the said "criteria", if you are not in the following group, you need not apply:

On AIM at least a few times per week. Currently the league has anywhere between 12-20 people online at almost all times, we'd like to add to that.

Available for online sims once per week. The sim schedule includes all sims being live, if you can make only 1 per week, that would be great.

A reasonable adult. While we understand it is seemingly "elitist" we do not take people who are in their teens (unless highly recommended by a current league member). Sorry if that bothers you, but that is just something we prefer.

If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of, simply use the email link on the league website or use the aim name above.

18 is legally an adult but still a teen so I guess not good enough for WBL.

Well, just to clarify on why this is.

Now I know it is an age old stereotype, and it is not always correct, but teenagers tend to be more of the unreliable breed for online leagues. That isn't always the case though! There is no discrimination, we do have a pair of young guys in WBL, and they are shining of examples of great managers. But we also get a lot of young people who tend to value school over their sim leagues (weird no?). Of course some older people have college and such also, so it isn't just younger guys but we have had a lot more success with sticking to older managers. Hope you understand.

I admit your reasoning wasn't what I would expect. It has been my experience that younger people tend to be more into chatting on aim, attending live sims, and writing articles then the older ones but I guess that's how the rest of the selection process comes in. I'd prefer you say something like 21 or older rather than an incorrect usage of adult.

Anyways, good luck with your opening. I'm sure the league will find someone suitable.
