Why ?
Why when a new league starts up and someone becomes the GM of a team do they feel the need to trade away all the players they started with,I mean why pick that team if all your going to do is trade everyone away.Reason why I thought of this is the ammount of times an opening as come up in a new league that as had only a couple of sims then when you go to look at that team none of the original players are there. An idea that I did think of was why not put a cap on the number of trades that can be made by each team say for the first season or maybe only open the trades up after the first month of the season as been simmed, anyways just my 2 cents worth.

Another way to help "control" wild trading is to limit a player to one trade a year. Basically a player can be traded only once a season. Also don't allow the signing & trading of Free Agents in the same season. Finally a rule stating that once you sign a FA or trade for a player then you have to keep them on your Major League Roster for the rest of the current season. Of course these kinds of rules usually don't go over well with people and would probably not work out very well.
Basically people do alot of trading because it is really the only way to be "active" in a league aside from writing articles and most people that play in online leagues do not know how to write!

In the leagues I'm in, I am very active as far as trading goes.
Like C3356 said, it's really the only way to interact with the other GM's on a consistent basis And, like SK stated, it's the main way you can make your team your own.
