As a member of ELSA who thinks it's going to be a GREAT league, I do agree with the coaches/scouts commentary. If I had to do one thing to make it better, that would be it. Now that the bug is in Bob's ear, maybe he'll turn them off!
I've never played a fictional league before ELSA and had my reservations. I really did it as more of a favor to Bob. I do have to say however, it's quickly becoming one of my favorite leagues. Bob does a phenomenal job as commish, all sims are live (Which don't mean much to me, but others really like), the site is awesome, and he's taken a ton of time preparing the league before taking it on-line. It's also the first league I've played in with CATO, and that's pretty cool as well. I think some of you guys are really missing out. I see what new leagues get started every week or so, and none of the new ones that I've seen recently compare in quality to ELSA. We'd love to have ya join us.

I see that the masses have spoken including one of my own guys. I will look into it tonight with the owners who joined specifically because of the scouting system. It wouldn't be wise to change it in the middle of a season, but starting in 1946 "no coaches" is a possibility.
My reasoning for including them involved the real life differences in player development between organizations. It is hard to debate that the Twins' player development system is not better than everyone else's and I was hoping to reflect that some teams would push minor leaguers through more quickly or less quickly, some (like the Braves) do a better job with pitchers than hitters, etc. If we end up doing this, there will probably be a financial adjustment reflected in the TV contract value that subtracts some value of the coaching staff (probably market dependent) from each team's revenue to keep the player financial model consistent. -Bob P.S. Matt, what is this IHBL commish stuff in the sig?
