ATH just entered 2010, our 8th season, and looking to fill two spots.
The ATH is about to start a new decade and we are looking for two quality GM's to join us. ATH has been around since the release of OOTP 5, we have converted to OOTP 6 and are about to begin our second full season, and 8th overall, under OOTP 6.
Matt, or Matteo on these boards, and myself try to add as much as we can to the league to make it fun and fair for all. We believe in having a league that gives everyone the opportunity to interact with the other GM's. We have regular live sims for those who enjoy watching the action unfold game by game. We vote on our All-Star teams, our awards for MVP, Cy Young, ROY, and GM of the Year. We have coranto installed so all GM's who enjoy writing league or team articles can post directly to the front page. We have BOSI 2 incorporated as well as Catobase to track and enhance the history of our league. I even personally edit the manager pages to reflect when GM's leave during a season. I don't recall seeing too many leagues where their cato pages show all the GM's....even the ones who were in the league for as little as one sim. http://www.elbb.com/ath/history/managers/index.html Check out Mr Perez all the way down and his 2-7 record. As I said the ATH started in OOTP 5 using GForce's Total Minor Roster set which began in the 2003 season. We now use OOTP 6 and have just posted the 2010 file. We use financials and try to mimmick Major League Baseball while still having a fair playing field for all. We have two teams open in the Houston Astros and the Kansas City Royals. Here is a little run-down on the history for these two franchises. The Royals have been consistently mediocre 473-660. The Royals have had 4 3rd place finishes and four seasons with win totals between 73 and 78. In our last season of 2009 the bottom simply dropped out of the Royals as they crashed to their worse season in ATH history with a dismal 2009 record of 50-112. The Royals have a decent young core in 1B Mariano Brown, 2B James Brown, RF Bill Noell, and SP Olen Marx all between 23 & 25 years and ready to start making in impact in the majors. While still perhaps a season or two away, this team just needs a steady GM with a plan who will stick around to execute it to get this team over the hump. They currently have the 2nd overall pick in the draft which is Wednesday. The Astros have been a solid franchise in the ATH with a 622-511 mark. In seven complete seasons they've had 5 winning seasons, two division titles, 3 94+ win seasons, and 1 105 win season. 2009 saw the Astros win 78 games, the 2nd lowest in franchise history. With veterans like perrenial MVP contender Lance Berkman, 26 year-old 1B Betram Matthew, SP Roy Oswalt and Jimmy Barrett, the Astors have a strong nucleus. Houston is in need of GM who will decide their future, whether you build around the current core or look for the future in going a different direction. If you are looking for a team that could contend or rebuild relatively easy, give the Astros a shot. We are a stable league, with on-time sims and good communication with all the GM's & the Commisioner and Co-Commish. We will be simming twice a week before the trade deadline, three times after the trade deadline. To check us out go to : http://www.ath.ootp-online.com/ If either of these teams interest you, or if you are interested in being put on the waiting list for your favorite team just contact either: holycow_98@hotmail.com or matteo@elbb.com We will repsond A.S.A.P. Thanks for reading Brian C |

I wanted to put my two cents in and let you guys know that the ATH is the epitome of good baseball simulation. All the owners are great, the sims are always 99.99999999999999999999% on time (okay 100, but I didn't want to give too much credit) but first and foremost... the commish and co-commish are two of the HARDEST working guys at this I've ever seen in my entire life.
If you want an indepth baseball experience, the ATH would be good for novice and experienced players alike. (I know when I first started out I bombed out in a few leagues before I came across this one because nobody would help me in the others.) There is ALWAYS a GM online willing to help you (including me, but I would recommend some of the more experienced GMs *snicker*) Anyway, if you want the best OOTP experience ... join up! |

Montreal is now available as the former owner had to deal with time constraints. Email me matteo@elbb.com if interested.
We just proposed relocation rules, so in the near future you would be able to move the team!

Plenty of time in our current season for you to put your stamp on Montreal as we are just 3 weeks into the season.
The Expos have actually been a competitive club for the most part. They hold a 573-560 record, have a Division title to their credit. After their original GM resigned, they hit the skids over the last two seasons in large part from over-spending by the previous GM. If you are interested just contact Matt (Commish): matteo@elbb.com or Brian (Co-Commish): holycow_98@hotmail.com |
