GBPA Needs Players!

The GBPA is a players league, ran by Steve Thiele, aka NealMusser. The league runs off of OOTP6. We currently have 6 teams, and 6 great GMs. Over the past two weeks, we have had a good amount of players join, and the computer players are flying out of the door! However, we still have some computer players left in the league, and we need more players, in order to get rid of them. We also have a nice waiting list, so I would like to look forward to expansion in a season or two.

As I stated, we have six teams, and they are the Arkansas Moonshiners. Benton Harbor Riot, Colorado Pioneers, New Jersey Nightmares, San Francisco Killer Ducks, and the Toledo Bulldogs. We have very unique team names, stadium names, and very unique GMs. All of your GMs are active, and love to see new players join the league.

VincentLee is the GBPA Players Rep., and boy, I must say, he is a good one. When the player's want something, Vincent is right there, to get them what they want. Vincent is always on top of things, and gets great help from his Deputy Reps., FordPrefect and Steven Jackson.

We offer business oppurtunities in our league, such as the Rehab Center, and the Trainers Facility. We also have a brand new business, supported by the league board, coming into play. However, since our players do not know about the details yet, I willnt tell you guys either

. If you need a loan, then go right into the GBPA Bank, which is led by Brad Johnson. The bank charges 10% interest, but that is not per year--it is for the entire loan, which is a great rate. If you have some spare cash, and want to turn it into a big pay-day, then enter the GBPA Casino. In the Casino, you are able to bet on NBA, MLB, NFL, and NCAA Football. It is great fun, and we have a lot of winners.

We have already had 6 or 7 sims so far[I forget now, and do not feel like checking]. Activity on the message board has been going well, and we have a lot of new faces in the league. Make sure you are one of those faces!

Just wanted to let my league members know that the GBPA site is down, for now. Cawunited is switching servers, and are in the process of transferring all of the accounts over. I expect it to be up sometime tonight--tomorrow morning at the latest.

We're in mid July. I've given several rookies a shot and they're doing very well (all but one anyways). If you want to be a pitcher, sign up now and you'll definitely have a starting job in the rotation or pen. We are very short on pitching and you'll pitch even if your ERA is 8+

You can have so much fun in a players league that you'll be bored with all the other leagues. I actually quit all the leagues I'm in except for 1 because of the enjoyment I get out of players leagues.
