ULB Seeks a Few Good Owners

ULB is currently wrapping up its 2008 season, its sixth season overall, and is looking for three owners as we head into our seventh season. This is a real player league born in 2003 that is now starting to gather a small mix of fictional players as prospects continually develop. It has a $90 million salary cap, $30 million cash cap and has teams available to suit any owner's preference...

Cleveland Indians - 2008 AL East Champs, finishing 93-69 (pyt. 91-71)... if you're a lazy owner seeking a solidly built franchise, this is the route to go. A couple smart moves here, a couple smart moves there and this team could be a force for quite a bit.

Boston Red Sox - 2nd Place in the AL East, finishing 91-71 (pyt. 90-72)... an aging team that is probably best suited to head into a partial rebuild, though with a couple young guns already ready or near ready, it wouldn't be a total rebuild. If an owner plays it smart, he can probably have the BoSox competing for one more season before tossing the team into a rebuild.

Chicago White Sox - Tied for 4th Place in the AL Central, finishing 59-103 (pyt. 55-107)... simply put, this is a MAJOR CHALLENGE team. If you want a challenge and think you've got what it takes to turn around a miserable franchise, this is the challenge for you. It does have a nice, low payroll, but its active roster is in shambles and there's only one quality prospect to speak of, though that prospect is a 23-year-old 5.0 star 1B in AAA that is ready for the show.
