CLB Grand re-opening

A revamped Corporate League baseball is re-opening the playing field, with a solid core of 7 owners refusing to let a great concept wither way. We have gone through and renovated the place.

Now a faster pace of 5 days per sim, every other day
New forums
Slimmer rules
A new easier to navigate website.

Plus we still have the CLB standbys of:
League is based on corporations or sponsers instead of cities.
Real/fictional mix of players starting in 1980 and we are just about to start 1982.
2 drafts per season, a "real" player draft in the off-season and a "fictional" player draft in June.

All GM's will get to choose the team name, stadium and may create a new logo or have our in-house logomaster, Pepeda, make one for you. Team names can be real or fictional companies or funny. Your choice.

OPEN TEAMS

UPS (they have the pieces)
Cisco (Tycoon division Champs & Lights out award (cy Young award) winner Richard Steele)
Microsoft (pretty well balanced, a contender)
Playboy (great hitting club)
Intel (well, they have George Brett and Lee Smith!)
Enron (robber baron division champs, a very solid club)
Exxon (2 time Capitalist League Champs, lost to Marlboro 5-1 in the championship series both years. Also they have CL newcomer award winner Bruce Berenyi)
Coors (should be better than they were? the rght GM will make all the difference. they do have CL MVP Mike Schmidt)

Stop by for baseball, stay for the friendships

Good opportunity here. One of the more original ideas ever and Jazzrack is a great Commish (even if he bumps a lot). Hope this go around is better.

Great commisioner and core GMs.

Looks like it will be better now since it offers faster pace than before. G'luck Jazz and company.

*Are you planning to keep BOD (Babe of the Day)? *

hmm, maye I should call it BotW. something just seems wrong about calling the babe of the week BoW.

going well, thank you.

I really didn't mean to bump. I was looking at the unowned teams after the season flip& saw, oh...

hey all we flipped the season last night, 1982 begins. Draft order is posted.

where was i? oh yeah

the bunnies logo and thought to myself,

"self, I wonder how many people have seen the new bunnies logo?"

so i hopped on over here and posted the logo. then RIGHT after I hit submit i thought to myself,

"self, remi is gonna think you are bumping too much again, you should edit and add a note just for him. since he reads 95% of these thing anyway"

so i went back and edited my post.

THEN while i was doing that i thought to myself,

"self, that logo might offend somebody, i don't want to offend anybody. I should take it down."

so i took down the logo & posted why

whew. that was pointless.

Just a bump on this league with a little more info.

Here is a challange for anyone who thinks they are a good GM. There are still sevaral teams left and Jazz and Pepe are really getting things rolling. We are beginning 1982 season and getting ready to start Free Agency signings. Also will have a draft of new players, consisting of real players and fictional ones, and you may recognize some of the names in the First Year Player draft that we have at the beginning of the season. Take a look at the league homepage.
