Looking for an online league...

Lemme just say first off that I don't have the OOTP software cuz I don't have a credit card or any means of paying for the game through the internet. I was in a league last year where the commish was cool enough to make the changes for my team when I emailed them to him. That league disbanded after one season though.

Now I'm looking for a new league. I am a very active member and I'll be on AIM and frequent the league's website message board. In my last league I'd talk to a bunch of the GM's to try and work out deals. I'll take prety much any team...maybe not the Cubs because I'd probably try to purposely sabotage them (White Sox fan). So if anyones willing to hook me up with a spot you can post here or email me at emhop_kid@yahoo.com.

Thanks.

Just wondering...Is it because of your age that you don't have a credit card? I think that credit cards are practically given away these days.

Didn't mean to be rude, but OOTP is a great game that is a must for die hard fans of the game! If you can't get it, ask for it for your B-day!!

Anyway, my league doesn't require OOTP to play but it's a 1960's league with real players, which if you're younger than credit card age you may have not heard of them. You don't have to email in your changes. There's a fully loaded set up on the website for making changes and roster moves.
Anyway, there's only one team left as I write this.

OOTP can be ordered by credit card, check, or money order.

I'll have to pass on the fictional league. Sorry jm47048 but I probably won't be too into it if it dosn't have knowledgable MLB players. Thanks for offering though. f.Montoya is your league the one with the Indians available? I'd be willing to try it, I've had 2 leagues with modern baseball players but never one with historic rosters.

The reason I don't have a credit card is because I'm 17. My account is only a savings account, I can't write checks out of it. I've tried to get this game in the past but stubborn parents won't cave in...

Yes. The one with the Indians Available. If your interested, hit the website, read up and if it sounds like we're a fit for you, follow the 2 step registration. All we expect is communication lines open and messages replied to.

Try to stick with it though. There are no championships built overnight!

So how do you determine if the players are knowledgable? Do you give them a test before you join a league? It is like the SATs or something you have created on your own?

You can get a money order, though. The game is only $19.95[I think they also charge an extra $5.00 for ordering with a money order].

The dude's just 17. He hasn't studied English grammar as much as you have. He meant that he was more interested in a league with players that HE has knowledge of NOT "knowledgable" players.

the Asahi 2 league just might be for you. You may also want to contact the White Sox GM there. I think he's brand new. Maybe you can convince him to take the Indians and let you have your team.

PLaying in older historical leagues is a great way to learn about the history of the game and thei great players (and not so great players) of the past. Fidel makes it very easy for non-owners of the game to enter their changes online.

I'm in the league as the Braves GM.

Yes that is what I ment.
I would have loved to manage the White Sox but I don't mind taking the Indians. I'll be as active as possible. I think I'll go sign up.

I could still use a modern day league if anyone has any spots open.
