La Liga Mexicana (LLM) seeks three
La Liga Mexicana (click for link) is a fictional league based in Mexico which is entering its 10th season (2014).
We are currently entering the Offseason Free Agency period (day 1 of 5 tonight), so this is the perfect time to join. Leaue Info: * 20 teams: 16 original (since 2005), and 4 expansion (since 2013). * DH used in all games. * Waivers, Rule 5, Options, Arbitration, Signing Bonuses and MLFA all in use. * No Salary Cap; $50M cash cap. * Extra-OOTP systems in use include Franchise Player tag & Media Blitz rewards. * Regular season sims: 7 to 8 days per sim, 3 days a week (Sun, Tues, & Thurs) * Half of the people involved in the league have been involved since at least 2006 season (if not the beginning). While the Commissioner (myself) has only been in place since ASB of 2013, the original Commissioner (Matt Alford) is still involved with the league as an owner. Teams Available: * Monclova Acereros (english: Steelers). A division winner last season, has the reigning batting & pitching award winners on it. The roster is pretty much set (not much room, roster or money-wise for FAs), but there's always room for improvement. Former owner reluctantly gave up the team when he became Commissioner. * Veracruz Rojos del Aguila (english: Red Eagles). Competed for most of the season, finished in 2nd in their division. Roster is fairly young, in a semi-rebuilding phase, but should be able to compete well in its division. Has not had regular ownership in some time (last owner lasted less than half a season). * San Luis Tuneros (english: Prickly Pear Pickers). One of last season's expansion teams, finished tied for 3rd (of 5) in their division (which, for the past few seasons, has been similar to the AL East of RL: two high-win teams and then the rest). Has good young talent, and lots of money to spend on FAs. If you're interested, or have any questions, please feel free to ask. (Email me by clicking on my name in the sig, or PM me if you prefer.) Thanks!

bump.
New players welcome. Experienced players welcome. And believe you me, fictional leagues are much better than any of those "real roster" leagues are. And we're the best fictional league around.

One taken; Two left.
Veracruz has been taken.
![]() Next up: Rule 5 draft. (Rosters due Mon night; Draft lists due Tues night.) Still available: Monclova Acereros: A playoff team this past season, and a successful rebuilding project (has 4 or 5 consecutive seasons of increasing wins). Only reason it's even open is that Commissioners can't own teams themselves. San Luis Tuneros: An expansion team, has lots of money and the foundation for a potentially good team (though missing out on the Free Agency period probably hurt; I could only submit so many offers). So join the club... ![]() Take these teams, and I can do my happy dance!

Monclova's been taken, too. Which means I get to do my happy dance, as promised....
![]() This leaves the year-old franchise San Luis Tuneros as the last open team in La Liga Mexicana. ![]() I mean, c'mon! Can you think of a single cooler team name than the English translation for them? The Prickly Pear Pickers of San Luis Potosi! ![]() So, one last time, join the club... ![]() ... and join La Liga Mexicana - OOTP's only online Mexican baseball league.
