Elite Players League

As many of you know, I used to run the Global Baseball Players Association. Unfortunately, we got hacked, and I lost everything that I had. I had backups on my personal computer, but that computer crapped out a few days before the GBPA got hacked.

I love running player league's, so I had to open up a new one. So, I am glad to present to you the Elite Players League. The EPL has a better league set-up then the old GBPA, and a much better website. Took us a long time to get everything set up, but I am sure that it will be worth the wait.

The EPL will have 8 teams...2 conferences, consisting of 4 teams per conference. So glad this time that we have 2 conferences so the game can handle the playoffs.

To help fill the league up, I am going to allow every real person to create 2 players...1 hitter, and 1 pitcher. Hopefully this will help keep more players active as well, as I doubt both player's will suck.

-------------------------------------------

General Facts about the EPL:

-------------------------------------------

- Our salary cap is set at 85 million dollars

- The cash maximum is set at 50 million dollars

- We do not allow the usage of signing bonus's in contracts

- We will be using the waiver system

- We will not be having a Amateur Draft or Rule V Draft

- We do not allow owners or managers; only GMs

- In time, we will be using the in-game minor league system

- The financial system is enabled

- The coaches/scouts sysetm is disabled.

To find out more information on the league, please visit our website at http://epl.brianbakic.com/.

If you have any questions for me, feel free to post him here, PM me, or send me a IM on AIM. I look forward to hearing from you.

Do you have to own ITP to join?

First, this is a OOTP league.

Second, no, you do not. In a players league, the only people who need OOTP to join are the General Managers.

On a side not, keep the players coming! 24 real members, 48 players already!

So what is the job of being a player? What do you really have to do?

Per the league rules
Quote:
Players: As a player, you get to do the same things that a real life ballplayer would do. You get to negotiate your own contract, set your spring training allocation points, and set your personal strategies. If you do not get what you want from your GM, then demand a trade, and if all else fails, sit out.

Basically, I create a FA at the requested position, and then edit all of the personal info.

Player leagues are very enjoyable, and do not require much time or effort on your part. Check out the website and forum to get a better understanding of the league...

The best part is you can do as much or as little as you want to do. And it is very fun!

I would like to thank everyone who has signed up thus far. We already have 88 in-game players, and I expect that number to continue growing.
