Managers, Coaches, Scouts Contracts

Another thing that would be nice to have is the option to re-sign Coaches, Scouts, and Managers to contracts like we can with regular players. If were happy with the job their doing we should be able to re-sign them, instead of having to go through Free Agency to sign them.

Another question I have is on the Managers of the Major League teams. How and when is their contracts due? As far as I know they are there for ever, never have seen one go up for a contract yet.

I want to second this in a BIG way. I often wondered what was the point of putting an age on coaches if you couldn't take a young coach and have him stick with the ballclub. If I land an outstanding pitching coach who's 45 and my staff does wonders with him, it would be nice if I could have first chance at keeping him around when the contract's over.

Having managers would really add to the game. It would allow the player to truly play the role of general manager only. I also would like to see some of the suggestions made elsewhere about keeping manager and coaching stats. I think that would allow coaches to become managers or vice-versa, as so often happens.
