That would be cool. Something that would happen if the starter is out REAL early, i.e. injury, or not pitching well for whatever reason.

Yeah, but I think that someone good should go into the position for long relief. Look at last night's game Yankees vs Angels. Colon had to come out, and Santana came in. I think we mean someone like a starter, rather then the crappy mop-up guy. Does this make sense? I think the mop-up guy should stay the same.

I guess it could always be coded that once hte first pitch of the game is thrown that "spot starter" could become Long Reliever

I'd like to have more detailed bullpen options which include the inning and game situation.
