Front Office

I'd like to see a change in the revenue streams from the front office side. Right now, teams only collect money directly related to attendance through ticket sales (20,000 fans x $10 = $200,000). Teams should also capture concessions revenue and parking. There's also no opportunity for skybox sales.

I'd also like to see coaching & management staff included next year. Batting & pitching coaches affecting players' development and performance, both at the major and minor leagues.

One more wish list item, I'd like to see the Major League teams' relationship with their minor league affilates affected by team performance. For example, the Charleston Riverdogs, after suffering 5 losing seasons, refuse to re-sign with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and move on to another affiliate, like the New York Yankees. This would put more emphasis on teams signing minor league free agents to win at the minor league level. Maybe better minor league affiliates would equate to better player development (Memphis and their new ballpark are better development locations than Omaha or Nashville).

Just some thoughts.

Chris

I'd like to see this as well. It might help rebuilding teams who have a poor fanbase bring in more money with lower ticket prices/higher concessions or vice versa.

This would be interesting but might be tough to do. There would always have to be another team switching affiliates if you lose one. Otherwise, you'd have to have some sort of option to move an affiliate to a city looking for a minor league squad.

This could also have an effect on your prospects increasing local popularity. Say you had a AA franchise in Newark, NJ and one of your spects really lights it up while there. The local fans would love him. Then when the spect gets to the majors his local following might increase ticket sales a bit. If your affiliate was in Tennesee and you are the Yankees your player might be popular in the Tenn area which would have no effect on your ticket sales (at least until the prosepct establishes himself as a major leaguer which could help increase his local popularity in NY).
