Importing baseball history

One of the main reasons I don't do a lot of historical replays is that it's a pain to set up the history of an imported league to reflect real baseball. For instance, if I import a league in 1961, it doesn't know the career leaders as they were then, the records, or anything else. You get a blank record book and only active players in the career leaders.

What's more, catobase doesn't have any way of importing the info either. Of course, that's a different issue, but if the new game has a catobase-like feature, that would be something to consider.

I'd love it if the game could actually import baseball history up to whatever year you select. So if I select 1961, I'll get all the records and everything as they would have been going into 1961. Obviously, some records, like hitting streak, couldn't import, but this would go a long way toward making historical imports more fun, at least to me. The game would have an awareness of history that it doesn't currently have.
