Cool Wishlist with question

First off, awesome game. Markus, Steve, and company, you have done an unbelievable job on an extremely addictive game and website. I've played baseball sims since the late 80's (anyone remember Pursue the Pennant, then of course Earl Weaver, Tony Larussa, Front Page Sports, and High Heat). OOTP is the most complete and most addictive game I've played. Only PTP and High Heat have come close!

Wishlist for future...

1. How about a gradual tiring of pitchers? Or does this happen already? To me, it appears they just go directly from Ok (green) to tired and need to be replaced (Red). Maybe add some other colors in between where they lose some off their fastball, but are still ok to go a few more pitches.

2. Agreeing with a previous post, a more robust trading screen would be pretty cool. Say an option where you offer a team a certain player, and they offer back a list of players they might offer you for him, or just say "We don't want him, we wont give you anything for him." I think getting more feedback from other teams on your trade offers would add a lot to the GM experience.

Great job guys!

I check the speed on the players fastball, often times I notice it seeming to decrease just before the pitcher "goes red" or I'll notice the pitcher be a little less effective and know its coming. Now this could be all impression, or it could be a feature, not sure which.

Frequently requested feature, the Counter Offer Button is rumored to be included in a future patch to OOTP4.

I've noticed the same thing with pitchers myself...for whatever that's worth....probably not too much.

Sometimes the pitcher will walk 2 in a row. This is always an indication that he has lost something on his pitches and will be tired shortly.

I do think that the idea about different colors for 1)OK 2) getting tired 3) tired 4) out of gas is a great idea. Isn't that how Earl Weaver Baseball worked? Speaking of EWB, in that game the manager could talk to his pitcher on the mound and there was a dialog box I think. That would be a cool feature. Go to the mound 2x in an inning and the pitcher would have to be relieved. Ever notice in real baseball today, the manager never goes to the mound 2x in an inning for the same pitcher. The pitching coach goes out the first time.

Just ramblin.

Yes. A manager/pitching coach is allowed to visit the mound once to talk to a pitcher. But on the second visit the pitcher must be replaced.

Usually the manager goes to the mound to kill time to allow more time for his relievers to get warmed up.

So if you like using warm-up rules on, then this would be a great feature for you.
