Changing typical salary request parameters

It would be neat if you could change the financial climate of a league. For instance, instead of 10 million being an all-star calibar salary you could make it, say, 2 million. So you could simulate a league where players are more interested in the love of the game than the money.

This is a good idea! You shouldn't have to completely turn off financials to simulate pre-70s leagues.

i'd imagine the next logical step is attendance trends, average merchandising revenue, and concession prices. and some sort of financials era settings. there was a post in a related thread that suggested the financial system should stay the same so its not too complicated.. i disagree that adding features to the game complicates it for the users, in fact it may make it easier for those webmasters that have to hide the last digit on every salary report or increasing merch revenue to compensate for high salary demands in short seasons, while being allowed to stay at average players for those that do not care. but do agree that there's much more important parts of the game than the financial side.
