Window Dressing/Or something cool
I was thinking about this today and thought it would be a cool thing to add to the player's history. I would like to see his Major League Debut listed with his stats for the game. Some may think this is just a window dressing thing, but personally I think it would be cool if there was a way to have this tracked.
I emailed Markus about it today but would love to hear the thoughts of others as to whether or not you think it would be a cool addition or just window dressing. Thanks Erich

Whoa. Good to see someone I recognize as a big part of OOTP when I first joined still coming around occasionally.
I for one, like the idea. I think that a whole page devoted to player landmarks would be cool. Something along the lines of balls/bats/gloves in a display case marking their first hit, homerun, gold glove, batting title, etc. Although this may be to ITP for OOTP. Nonetheless, I think you have a great idea that would be fun to look at to see how OOTP people perform on their debut day.

i'd like to see something that shows his ratings at his peak, if not year to year. IRL we can remember how great Ozzie Smith or a Paul Molitor or a Steve Carlton was. But in this version of the game, the player continues deteriorate. So ten years after they retire their ratings are 1/1/1, instead being able to say wow this guys was great defensive shortstop or a great hitter or had great stuff.

I very much like this idea. Maybe not his stats for the game, but something. For example, "made his major-league debut as a pinch runner on X/Y/ZZZZ," or "made his major-league debut as a defensive replacement..."

I will say I can't wait to see this game and will continue to pepper Markus with my ideas just as I have done in the past with the previous iterations. Expect to see me around the boards more often now as well.
