I don't have a problem with teams paying mediocre players too much, especially if they're coming off one solid year.
I have a problem with the following 1) The highest paid guys making too much -- $50 mil per is ridiculous for anyone 2) High priced players being released too quickly -- although a lot of teams are cutting ties now, there are a lot of teams that will stick with a guy just because they owe him so much 3) Overvaluing ridiculously priced guys -- I should be able to take someone else's salary dump relatively easily and I should have a hard time getting rid of my 1.5-star guy making $17 mil per for the next 4 seasons |
