Player History

I recieved an email saying that a guy that has been on my team for about 7 years was retiring. Looking over his stats for his career, I was wondering about how I accired him. Then I started thinking it would be a good idea if he had a little history section saying something like:

2002 Drafted by TEX 34th round initial (or amature) draft.
2002 Single A Texas
2004 Double AA TEX
2005 AAA TEX
2006 Traded to PIT along with ???? for ???? and ????.
2006 Rookie of the Year
2007 MVP

etc

Now I know that we can see when he wins awards and such but a little more history on the player would be awsome IMO.

It definitely would be cool to see where players were drafted and how they end up turning out. And what trades were made for them. Great idea.

When a player was drafted, etc is currently part of the game. But this is new with v4 and things like this won't be included on "real" players' history since the game doesn't come with real players.

This is another place where we hope to add even more depth in future versions.

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're talking about, but several of those items are already included in the player history, which can be found on his individual player card. In the bottom right hand corner, you can toggle between scouting report & player history. This includes items such as draft position, dates of trades (would be nice if it included details of trades, but it doesn't at this point), and any awards won. An example of the HTML version of the player history can be seen at the bottom of these pages.

Peter Suda

Here's also an example of a player who was traded in mid-2002 and was signed as a FA in 2003.
