Arguing calls options
I would like to see a menu for the level of agressiveness when you argue a call.
Because sometimes, there's a play that I want to argue, but it's not really a major play, so I don't want to get tossed for it. But I usually wind up getting tossed. So when you argue a call, I'd like to see three options: Calm, Agressive, Nuts. If you select calm, you go out and discuss the play. It's pretty much guaranteed that you won't get tossed -- you're just trying to get the call to go your way next time. If you select agressive, you definitely go out there to argue. Maybe the umpire has made several calls that went against you, or maybe it's a pretty important play. If you select this, you go out to argue, and your chances of getting tossed are pretty much 50/50. If you select Nuts, you're definitely going to get tossed -- and quickly. Maybe it's a huge play in the game that you just can't let slide. You select this option pretty much knowing that you're not coming back. And maybe getting tossed excites your team a little. Maybe getting fired up will get them fired up if they're in the middle of a losing streak. Also, I'd like to see the addition of a bench coach. This bench coach would have a managerial rating, so if you get tossed, he's the one that takes over as the manager. If you have a good bench coach, you can afford to get tossed every once in a while. But if you have a bad bench coach, you have to be very careful about how aggressively you argue. |
