Contract extension negotiations

I just thought that it'd be great for online leagues if individual GM's could negotiate and sign free agents on their own and their contract details would get exported with the team export. I know there's some potential problems with this, such as GM's being able to delete and replace the league file and re-negotiate until they get the extension just right.

In any case, just thinking out loud.

Yah, it would be cool, but from what little I know of software I think it would have to happen while connected to the server with the league file, while the game is running for the host.

But yeah, it would be neat if a commish could say 7-10 pm Sunday: live contract negotiations!

Yeah I like the idea but knowing what I know about game progamming i know that this would be a very difficult and long process to implement.

Someone else suggested in one of the other threads, but what if the extension offers were exported, but the player didn't answer until the commish imported? That way the delete/redo thing would be out, and it'd be like it is now, but with less work for the commish.

Yeah, we brought it up here.

But it wouldn't be the whole negotiation. Just export the offer like you would during free agency. And you get your answer at the end of the sim.
