Realistic injury recovery

I haven't tested it out to see if it makes any difference, but I imagine the game could care less about the following:

Rehabbing an injured player in the minors after a "serious" injury(4 weeks or longer).

It would be more realistic if there were losses in performance if a player comes right off the DL after a long injury and hops back into play. For instance, I just had Kevin Brown injured on my team and I'm going to have him throw 1 game in the minors even tho it's just a minor injury.

Maybe it wouldn't even have to be related to length of injury(tho i think the longer you're on the DL, the more necessary it is to rehab), but more related to the type of injury in relation to the player(rotator cuff for a pitcher, for example).

Perhaps that rehab time is already built in to the recovery time for that injury. Just depends on how you want to look at it.

Actually, I've noticed, especially with pitchers, that long injuries (i.e. season ending injuries) tend to have a detrimental effect on the player's ratings and sometimes talent. I've had pitchers drop from an ERA rating of 6 to an ERA rating of 1 before, necessitating a stop in the minors.
