My Top 10

1: Give owners in Internet Enabled Leagues the ability to intiiate trade talks with other human owners.

2: Give owners ability to negotiate with their own players during the season for contract extensions.

3: Give owners the ability to see all players as their scout rates them not just as the "average" league scout sees them

4: Give owners ability to make contract offers during FA period.

5: More in depth minor league statistics.

6: ERA adjusted contracts

7: When FA's are created make them reasonable. Currently they are too good to be FA's after all the teams have drafted.

8: Rookie records in the first year of a league should only be set by real rookies not experienced players.

9: A quasi-realistic AI that will choose players eligible for HOF status. Not based purely upon statistics but statistics versus ERA's played in and versus peers of their time.

10: Better documention

About #9, you can just set the #'s really really high and then induct your own players.

Yeah I am aware of that but I still would like a more realistic AI way of doing it. Afterall this is a wish list

Better documentation would be a great thing, I.E. a fully-enabled HTML documentation or something similar. I would like to know stuff like what exactly the "hook" setting is, how finances work and how the computer manager will react in certain situations.

I assume your talking about a fictional league? only problem there is all of the players are rookies in the first year. I agree that the records get set way too high, but the best thing and what I do is blank out all the rookie records at the start of year 2.

I like all your idea's though

Well.... I would normally do that except for the fact that I have found using one of the addon utilities that even in fictional leagues players start with varying years of experience. To me it should not be all that difficult to look at that field when a league has a blank record book as a first way of determining if a player woudl qualify as a real rookie or not..

Players who would have been true rookies in the 1st year of a fictional league should be eligible to set rookie records.

I haven't noticed this, but for Closers, how about a Blown Save stat, not sure if it already exists but.

And to pound a dead drum, extending coaches and scouts contracts.

Otherwise, all said it's an awesome game!!

This is in there along with Games Finished, Holds, Save Percentage, Inherited Runners, Inherited Runners Scored, Percentage of Inherited Runners Scored, etc.

They are on the second and third rows of pitching stats on the player card.

Blown Saves are in the game but not reported through normal reports within the game. The League Leaders screen can show you Blown Saves and BS%'s which you could export if you wanted to.

#2 ... NO!! It's too easy to cheat. That's why it is password protected in the first place. The only way I can see this is if offers are automatically exported to FTP when they are submitted. Other then that, the extension process MUST remain passworded.

They are reported through the games normal reports.

They are on each players Player Card, in the League Leaders, and on each teams Pitching Report. (See the 2nd or 3rd groups of stats to find them)

That is how I envisoned it. A GM makes the offer to his player then the offer is adjudicated on the Commishes computer and the results are known then.

Pull the player up on their HTML report and it is not there, it is also not on the HTML league leaders reports. I know it is available from within the game and the in game reports. Maybe we are talking apples and oranges about where the BS and BS% is and is not located.

Check out the team pitching HTML reports and you'll find it there.

Example:

http://www.ool.ootp-leagues.com/file...TE/team14p.htm

It's the 3rd group of stats.

Hope this helps.

Maybe because " there is some good stuff on there about things like this. "

I don't know, just a guess.

#2 -- I agree!! I just started playing in an online league for the first time and not being able to see what my own players want for a contract extension is nuts.. The game should have TEAM passwords.. So I can only view my own team and sign guys, etc..
