Asking Coaches to Make Lineups/Staff

Currently you only have the option to ask the manager and bench coach for these. Why not allow the ability for the hitting coach to make the lineup and the pitching coach to make the staff.

I thought that was odd too. If you have these coaches, why not use them for what they were intended. I agree that this should be the default, otherwise, why have them?

bump, as this just crossed my mind last night in a mock discussion with my Head Scout, Manager, and Pitching Coach regarding my rotation.

Yeah, makes sense to me, too. It would be a cosmetic change, but one i'd like to see.

One bit of functionality, i'd like to see is the ability to ask whatever coach it is to set the rotation and bullpen roles separately.

The only objection that I would have to this suggestion is that you would have to be aware of, and adjust for, the strategic tendencies of the hitting and pitching coaches. Before, all that mattered was getting ones with green or blue ratings in their specialties. Having them available to set lineups and staff might be an overcomplication to some, or a welcome enhancement to others. Of course, like so much else in OOTPB, you would have a choice so why not? Just if there can be a distinction, not having all four types of coaches on all action screens; just MA, BC, and HC for lineups and MA, BC, and PC for staff. No HC or PC for depth charts, BTW, because that would not make sense IMO.

That makes sense.

But really all I want to do is play.

So I'll try harder to be patient and hopefully the board will be patient with me.
And yes, I am still continuing my campaign to promote adding a 'mass select' option to Out of the Park 10.
