PBP or Play-by-Play

Recently i played a game of 2006 just to see some of the items that i think needed improvement on the screens. While playing the game i noticed the game was played in Pitch-by-Pitch mode. I thought i remembered that the game could also be played in Play-by-Play mode but could not find any way to do it. In my opinion the default method of playing out games should be play-by-play with the ability to change to Pitch if so desired. The pitch-by-pitch method in my opinion sounds a lot better than it really is. Usually i find in games that have the option most only use it for a crucial game or inning and then use play-by-play for the rest. it's a nice option to have but it should not be the only method or even the default.

Bear in mind that i don't like 2006 and have never gotten into the game so i am pretty unfamiliar with the workings of the game and there may be an easy way to change to pitch by pitch but i could not find it.

it's pretty much sim at bat button down in the lower left corner, hit enter or "F1". It's pretty well documented in both the manual and the game guide. This game is very very deep and you will not get much enjoyment out of it if your not going to take the time to read the manuals or ask questions here or be willing to spend hours trying things out.

That's not exactly true. I've had a lot of enjoyment out of it and have never even looked at the manual, and haven't asked much of anything here... although I've answered a lot.

His point makes a little sense at least. People have been asking for that since the first day of v2006 release.

It's what you learn after you know it all that counts.
