Expansion Draft
Ok, I know this is in the stick of ideas but I wanted to elaborate on why I think it is worth the time and effort to put this option in and I would welcome any opinions regarding it as well.
As far as baseball games go, I really love ASB 2004 for PS2 because it has an expansion draft and it does it well. In fact, that is the one thing that keeps me playing no matter what bugs show up or what non-simulation events occur. Obviously, OOTP is a far better game and the expansion idea would make it perfect. There is something great about looking at the list of unprotected players and picking a team. Do you go with veterans and try for a quick win or do you build with rookies looking out 3-5 years? How much does fan support play into your decisions? How much will your new league affect your choices?... The team is all your from day one, not an established team you either sustain (NYY) or overhaul (MON). To me, there is no greater chalenge in the world of computer sports games. And, being able to do so in an established league with recognizable players is the best. |
