Reseerve Clause

I was wondering, and maybe its already in the game and I don't know it, wouldn't it be great to have an option of instituting the reserve clause for all leagues pre-1975 (or even after, if you like)? It seems silly to start a league in 1927 and have Ruth become a free agent. It's just not true, historically. The reserve claus was integral to baseball, and almost tore the sport apart. It has to be part of any legitimate historical simulation.

You can turn finances off and set trades to VERY low.

Theoretically, yes, but I'm saying it shoud be part of the engine. It could have a great impact on player happiness, and bring concepts like holdouts and team loyalty inte a much more integral role. I know it may be a pipe dream, but imagine having an AI that would hold out on you, and you would refuse to give in, and you actually had guys sitting out due to contract disuputes. Its more real.

I think having this as an option that can be enabled and disabled a bit more seamlessly would be great, but integrating it into the engine by default would be a little frustrating to those of us who don't want to deal with holdouts ... or maybe those of us who are sick and tired of our favorite (American - I have to differentiate after the merger, lol) football players doing the same thing.
