Unique Player Attributes

Wish List: A small text box on each player's page, or part of the scouting report, within which unique attributes can be stated about the player.

For instance, Vinny Castilla's text box may say -Excellent fastball hitter. This would give Vinny a little temp ratings boost vs. pitchers who feature the fastball and/or pitchers who throw hard. Yes, that means you'd actually have to make pitches mean something in OOTP. But, that is going to have to happen someday anyhow.

All of these little things could add character to your team and really seperate players from each other! They would add dynamics to pitcher-hitter matchups and add depth to forming a lineup. They would also describe those players who are good or bad at doing the things not worth giving each player a rating for (example, hitting the ball to the right side of the field with runner on 2nd and no out). If nothing is listed, it would is assumed that player is average (as I currently assume in OOTP6). Some players may have no comments at all...some may have a handful.

Things you may see for position players:

-First pitch hitter
-Rarely swings at first pitch
-Works deep in the count
-Protects plate well, fouls many pitches off
-Outstanding power vs. breaking pitches (Javy Lopez, anyone?)
-Struggles in day games
-Tires easily
-Struggles hitting the curveball (or slider, splitter, high fastball, whatever)
-Takes plays off in the field
-Struggles/Excels with bases loaded
-Struggles/Excels with runner in ScPos
-Struggles/Excels late in game
-Struggles/Excels early (or late) in the season
-Struggles/Excels at hitting for contact (or power) vs finesse (or power) pitchers.
-Has tendency to be picked off of base
-Struggles/Excels at stealing 3rd
-Struggles/Excels at advancing runner on second with no outs
-Struggles/Excels at hitting the sacrifice fly
etc

You could make a similar list for pitchers.
