Is there a bug/design flaw/whatever which will release all the amateur players into the Free Agency pool if you change the draft from the off-season to June 1st after changing the season? If not, I think there may be.

(This is why you always make a back up, kids!)

This also seems to happen if I change the option before flipping the file, creating a larger problem.

I can verify that this happens. Whenever you switch the draft to June 1st, it generates amateurs immediately. So, if it's the pre-season before you run the draft, the amateurs generated during the flip get dumped into the FA pool. If it's after June 1st, those amateurs get dumped into the pool when more amateurs are created during the flip.

Thanks gubaru. For a work around, set the draft to zero rounds.

Whenever you switch the draft to June 1st, it generates amateurs immediately. So, if it's the pre-season before you run the draft, the amateurs generated during the flip get dumped into the FA pool. If it's after June 1st, those amateurs get dumped into the pool when more amateurs are created during the flip.
